As a multi-disciplinary performer with 3 decades of experience, I added audiobook narration to my career in 2022. Recording under my name as well as a romance pseudonym, Aileen Bishop, I've currently narrated 35 titles (and counting!) for publishers like Hachette, Brilliance, and Tantor Media, production houses like John Marshall Media, and indie authors. I've been on stage performing everything from Disney's Cinderella to Shakespeare’s Cleopatra, and singing professional acapella Christmas carols at swanky parties. After spending many years living and working in NYC and Los Angeles as an actor, fight choreographer, and stage combat teacher, I currently live in Nashville, TN with my girls and our 3 black cats. While still acting, singing, and choreographing professionally, I narrate from my home studio, as well as from local production houses, here in Nashville.
My parallel career has been as a fight choreographer and instructor for (mostly) theatre. I've choreographed fights with and without weapons for Off-Broadway, regional and independent theatre companies, and universities all over the country. I had the privilege of teaching at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in both New York City and Los Angeles for 12 years as well as many other schools and organizations. A good sword fight might just be my favorite thing ever.
